Here are some of the photos I took to be used for my cousin’s AVP for her debut. We really had fun during the pictorial! We had the shoot at her debut venue at Windmills and Rainforest and then headed out to Parks and Wildlife.

There are still a lot of things I can improve on with regards to photography. Well, it would probably be much fun shooting with a DSLR.  I’ll only be getting my hands on my dad’s Nikon D200 by December.  Oh well.  These photos are taken using my mom’s Canon Ixus 900 Ti.

I look forward to having more practice shoots so I can experiment more shooting on manual mode.

Can you tell me how to lose weight in 15 days? Hahaha! I want to look nice in my dress for my cousin’s debut. Oh well. I hope everything goes well as planned on her birthday. I’m helping them out with all the details. So far, so good. We just hope that there won’t be any gatecrashers. We only initially planned for 120 guests, but now it has already ballooned to 150 guests!

Ride a bike

August 25, 2008
Times are tough. Even if there have been oil price rollbacks it still is high. Prices of other commodities have been increasing. Maintaining a car would really be much harder now. I can’t blame those who opted to buy motorcycles instead. Maybe you are contemplating yourself on buying one of those used Harleys to save. Well, just be careful riding motorcycles! Statistics have shown the increase in motorcycle accidents so be careful not to be part of that statistics.

Chocolate souvenir tower

August 23, 2008

Finally I was able to use my new Wilton Grecian tower. I was really excited to set it up for a wedding. They initially just ordered chocolates as their souvenirs. Then they decided afterwards to get my tower setup as well.

It’s my first time setting up the tower and I didn’t want to screw it up. Of course it entailed a lot of planning. I wasn’t too sure yet what flowers to use since they wanted it to be according to their motif which were blue, lilac and green. They’re not exactly the type of colors for flowers so it’s a little bit tricky.

I remembered seeing some blue and lilac hydrangeas at the manila seedling. I thought of buying the plants with the flowers so I can keep the plants. They’re really nice! The flowers are perfect for my setup! And they’re actually a great steal at 3 for 100 and 60 for the bigger ones. I bought 8 pots which really looked great in our garden!

Anyway, the remaining flowers that I needed, I bought at dangwa. That place is really a haven for flower lovers! I bought some mums, buttons, etc.

Come wedding day, it was really raining hard! Good thing it stopped in the afternoon. I’m just really grateful that my sweetie accompanied me and helped me out with the set-up. Here’s the finished product:

I’m just really glad the couple liked it!

promo products

August 22, 2008
Aren’t you excited what kind of promotional products you’re going to get for Christmas? I’m sure that as early as now, companies are already thinking of what promotional products to give for the holidays. These range from calendars, mugs, towels, shirts, etc. What I especially love is those organizer types. I really find them very useful so I really get to appreciate it whenever somebody gives me one. Giving out these promotional products really serve as good marketing.

more memory

August 21, 2008
I really need to upgrade my computer memory. My photos are so disorganized and I really need to put some order to it. I need a place where I can store my unedited photos and a separate one for those I have already edited or cropped. Anyway, hopefully my dad gets me a new one soon. I wonder what would be a good enough memory capacity for one who is into shooting lots of photos.

auto insurance

August 19, 2008

Even if the price of gas has been frequently increasing, I still hope to have my own car. It would be so much easier for me to go around the metro to meet my clients. It would also be much easier for me to travel to places I’ve been wanting to go to. Probably if I have a car, I would be hitting the beaches almost every weekend. Anyway, I hope to get a car pretty soon. I better start scouting for second hand ones since that’s realistically what my budget can allow. Well, it would be great if I get to have a brand new one. I think I should also start looking for online auto insurance quotes so that I don’t have to worry too much whenever I’m driving. Insurances somehow gives you peace of mind.
