Missin’ playing

June 30, 2008
I miss playing the guitar! Getting to hear the songs that I used to play (but cannot remember how to do so anymore) really makes me want to get a new guitar and start playing again. I miss playing in a band and performing even if they’re just during those school and org events. It’s nice learning how to play. It was pretty cool when I got to be the bassist once when we played Here With Me by Plumb. (I loooove plumb!) I even remember setting up my room for our band practice, complete with drum set and amps. Good thing our neighbors didn’t complain. Oh well. I miss sound tripping like that.

watches

June 26, 2008
Do you collect gold watches? My former boss does. He just can’t resist buying gold watches that appeal to his taste. I wonder how many gold watches he has already. Well, I can’t blame him. Gold watches really look very elegant. They may be a bit pricey but I’m sure he can afford it. Anyway, in case you’re looking for nice gold watches, just visit jewelelegance.com.

Globe Visibility

Has any of you tried this??? How does it fare compared to Smart Bro? I’m thinking of getting one of these since I usually prefer working at coffee shops instead of staying at home to do my pending posts. I usually get more inspired to write when I’m out. It would be very expensive if I buy internet cards at coffee shops just to get wi-fi connection. Usually it would cost Php100 for just 1 hour. I’m tempted to get the unlimited connection of globe which is around Php1499, but it has a 24 month lock up. I just need to determine if their signal is efficient and reliable. If you can share any experiences regarding Globe visibility and Smart Bro, I’m looking forward to hear them.

Typhoon Frank

We all thought our parents were just over reacting that there’s a typhoon and they were just being overly protective of us. It was so sunny over at Pangasinan. The sky was clear and there was not any sign of any rain cloud. It was actually a perfect day to spend at the beach. We were getting texts left and right that we better go home and that we be careful since it was raining so hard in Metro Manila and it was already signal number 1 in Tarlac and Zambales. Well, we are all just very thankful that God spared Pangasinan that day and let us have fun with our quick getaway. It was only when we were on our way home the next day when we realized the intensity of the typhoon Frank. It was very unfortunate to know that there was even a ship that sank because of it.

baby gifts

I recently went to a baby shower for a really great friend. I’m happy that she had fun during the party. It was a great time catching up. I know she’s a bit scared on having her own baby, but I’m sure she’ll be a great mommy. I’m glad she liked our personalized baby gifts. I know those will be very useful. At least they now all the basic baby stuff that they would be needing once the baby comes out. We even got her some bigger clothes for the baby since babies usually outgrow clothes very fast. Anyway, we just wish she’ll give birth to a very healthy baby.

Underwater Camera Rants

Hmmm…I’m not entirely happy with the underwater camera since I can barely see what I am photographing underwater and just leaving everything to chance that I am indeed getting the shot that I want. It’s really hard to see the image on the LCD underwater. Is it because the water is not that clear? Would it be much easier to see in the pool? Well, the water at Hundred Islands isn’t actually dirty. I dunno if I’m doing something wrong. I guess I have to review the manual and experiment more with the camera.

Underwater Camera Raves

It was so fun using a camera without worrying that it might get wet or fall onto the floor. Olympus 770 SW can be used up to ft and is shock proof up to 5meters. After 6 months of having it, I was finally able to use it! I’m really thankful that they invited me to go with them to Hundred Islands. I had fun taking underwater pictures, throwing the camera around –playing catch while on the water. It was really fun. I’m looking forward to more beach moments so I could use my underwater camera more.

salon jobs

Have you studied cosmetology or just have the natural skills in cutting and styling hair or probably on putting on make-up? You would probably have fun doing some salon jobs, don’t you think? You just really have to give it a try and find a job that would suit your talent and skills. I hear they pay pretty well. It’s fun doing a job that you actually enjoy and still get paid pretty well. I know some are just a bit hesitant and fear that it’s a hard time looking for beauty jobs. Well, just check out beautyjobs.com and you just might be able to land on your dream job!

Problem on Garbage

I am very proud of our feasibility study during our final year in UP Eng’g which won the Best IE Feasibility Award. It’s about the feasibility study of putting up a biomedical waste treatment facility in Davao. It primarily deals with biomedical waste coming from hospital which includes syringes, wastes from operations, etc. Maybe we should pursue it and not just get contented with the award that we got. There really is an alarming concern with regards to garbage. This is just one type of waste, which is just a small percentage of the total waste we are all producing. We really ought to start finding solutions on what to do with our garbage.

The jump

June 25, 2008

I had so much fun during our short vacation at hundred islands!  Thanks for inviting me kahit short notice lang! Marvin YM-ed me around 11am and we left that night at 9pm.  Coolness!  I was so ready to pack my things and go!

I wonder how long we stayed there contemplating whether to jump or not.  I’m just glad that we did! Super adrenaline rush! Wooohooo! I wanna do it again!  It’s just really a matter of doing it and taking the plunge!

I had such a blast! I hope to have more vacations like that.
